Parking can be difficult to find and expensive. Parking meters are enforced everyday of the week including Saturday and Sundays. There are major parking lots in Chinatown, Civic Center, and Union Square.
San Francisco has a public transportation system that makes it easy to get almost everywhere. There are busses, street cars, a subway system, and a light rail. The best way to find out how to get somewhere is to Google maps the location and make sure your directions are set on public transportation. The Muni bus only accepts $2 in exact change, but one can purchase a prepaid card called The Clipper Card from any local Walgreens store or within larger Muni/BART stations. The Clipper Card can be used on all public transportation in San Francisco including Muni, BART, and Caltrain.
We recognize that timing and budgets vary from guest to guest and decided against blocking out a set of room at a particular hotel.
If you are looking for a hotel in the city, consider the Chancellor, Baldwin, or Prescott. All three of these are within walking distance to major public transportation lines and well as downtown, Union Square, and Chinatown. One can also usually find deals on airbnb, if you are looking for a less traditional option.
Along with a limited registry, we are offering the option of gifting the traditional Taiwanese way, red envelopes (hong bao).
Rather than material goods, it is customary for Taiwanese people to give gold or cash as a wedding present. These are presented to the bride & groom in red envelopes.
Included in your invitation set, was a red envelope for you to bring along. Don’t worry if you forget yours, we will have extra available at the reception.
